Member of Parliament for Ejura, Hon. Mohammed Sualisu Bamba has provided school uniforms and sandals to about 1,607 school children in deprived communities within the municipality.

The initiative which is first of it kind in the municipality wholly funded by the MP in collaboration with 'Bright Generation Community Foundation' is to promote and encourage education.

The MP reacting with the delighted parents noted that many children in deprived communities stay off from school due to lack basic needs like uniforms, sandals, books, pens and others. He therefore added that the move is to reduce illiteracy rate in the municipality

He also believes the initiative would help reduce some burden on parents but encourage them to be serious on educating their children.

Hon. Bamba reveals that the program continues every six months.

Parents and seminal leaders expressed gratitude and among other things appealed to the Member of Parliament to as a matter of urgency provide clinics and maintain the road to the municipal capital.
