Wearing Red

Wearing Red
21.07.2014 LISTEN

Come closer, said the appointer because I cannot disappoint you. I will set up a commission to stop all the nonsense of implicating you and myself. Remember I made telephone calls to players; packed and airplane-dropping law breaking delivered USD100,000 times 30. You know you cannot be prosecuted using commission findings. That smells red, and reinforces occupy red.

Red is political and nationalistic in the motherland. It is the first colour of the national flag, that of the first ruling political party, the Convention People's Party (CPP) and same for the most successful post-1992 governing New Patriotic Party (NPP). Many nations, especially tri-colour flagged ones, have a red colour.

Thai motherland flag has two red horizontal stripes, white and blue. Red is primary in her coup and anti-coup politics. There, red is democratic and anti-coup. Yellow, the rival colour, is pro-coup dictatorship. Interestingly, the motherland has dark yellow, gold, which surrounds the famous Black Star.

With Thai politics, red additionally represents the struggles of the rural people who are pitted against the urban and military elite yellows in a prolonged battle. Wearing 'occupy' solidarity red reminds one of the Thai red and yellow political tug-of-war.

Motherland reds would love presidential reflection upon words, words of wisdom with profound leadership significance, spoken to presidential hearing. They were spoken as sermon or as lyrics of a hymn. Since presidents hear a lot of things, words on an apolitical remembrance service solemn occasion are unlikely to sink in as having political leadership implications.

The preacher words were: 'we brought nothing to the world and we will leave it with nothing.' If, indeed, this is so, it should never happen that a president or his brothers or his spouses, or his ministers or his appointees, cronies or hangers on would create, loot and share a motherland's money and assets, leaving nothing to support the schooling of children with disability.

In a hymn, the maker who unmakes to neutralise riches accumulated through hard labour or stolen, was requested to 'grant us direction;' us being everyone assembled including a president. The motherland presider, though, had too many unpaid bills on his mind to hear the request for direction loudly and clearly.

Statutory payments: Common Fund, NHIS, GETFUND, school capitation, feeding, special schools for persons with disability, SHS feeding, scholarship (including Cuba training medical students) grants are debts, unpaid or in unacceptably high arrears.

POTAG/UTAG book and research allowances, railway and other worker group salary issues, contractor reimbursements are owed as well. Residents at various locations are crying over bad roads and other social deprivations.

It's all mainly because he and his gang have been busy creating, looting and sharing; enriching self with other people's money from the consolidated fund; money for settling the owed debts.

Yet, he is able to effect USD750 million judgment debt payments and pack multiple USD100,000 physical cash wads into an aircraft, dropping-chartered to carry to players and other spending of that nature.

But for these bills and the general failure to improve the living conditions of my compatriots, a wear red Friday movement would probably not exist.

And my compatriots may not have heeded wearing red because there most probably might not have been any cause to be asked or to respond to wearing red.

If a cedi value has to be redeemed; if a motherland image completely destroyed by a Brazil trip is to be repaired; if all the unpaid disbursements have to be paid; wearing red would likely escalate until all that gets accomplished.

The statement of the red Lacoste electioneering was that red works. Wear-red compatriots know it works and that's why they have adopted it.

Concerned compatriots hope no one sees red because a president is directionless, forsaking direction to grab, steal, and pinch and pilfer what he cannot take beyond this earth.

When a motherland's treasury is spent into red by a president and his brother and another brother and wife and Dubai-domiciled household, my compatriots, the occupiers' eyes will see red. They will decide to wear red and ask everyone else compatriot to also wear red, continuing wearing red until the accounts turn black like a president and his team of spendthrifts found it.

They are at it again bad mouthing the opposition for being anti-military because their stealing through loan tactics are being exposed.

I am sure the military remembers the big STX deceit. And see how their dishonest and thieving yℇntie obiara ways have caught up with them in a Chinese loan farce.

On 'Red Friday,' I wore red because people are elected to enhance a motherland's reputation and not to destroy what others have built.

Compatriots, crosscutting: nurses, farmers and fisherfolk, chiefs, various types and grades of teachers, the professional class, the lumpen proletariat, are all seeking redemption in red. So am I.
