Dr Mohammed Ibn Chambas, who is the Joint United Nations (UN) and African Union (AU) Special Representative to Darfur, will be the speaker at the 2nd Atta Mills' Memorial Lectures.
This year's Lectures will be delivered at the main auditorium of the College of Surgeons and Physicians.
A statement from the Planning Committee on Friday, July 18 said the second in the series of lectures to commemorate Professor John Evans Atta Mills will be held on July 24, 2014, exactly two years after his demise.
Family and friends of Prof. Atta Mills are also scheduled to hold a Remembrance Service at the Asomdwee Park in Accra on Thursday morning.
'The public is cordially invited to both events to celebrate the life and work of the late President John Evans Atta Mills.'
Prof. Atta Mills died on July 24, 2012 after a short illness at the 37 Military Hospital. He was the Third President of the Fourth Republic.
