DAILY GUIDE has gathered that two kindergarten pupils of Saint Francis Preparatory School located at Dompim Pepesa in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality met their untimely death when part of a fence wall in the school collapsed on them.

The accident occurred after a torrential rainfall last Monday. The children were alleged to have been leaning on the wall when it collapsed and killed them.

The paper learnt that at about 3:30pm on Monday, it started raining when the school children were about to leave the school premises for their respective homes.

DAILY GUIDE learnt that because the teachers wanted the rain to subside before allowing the children to go, they gathered all the pupils at one corner to ensure their safety.

Unfortunately a wall at the school collapsed on the two kids and killed them when they allegedly went to lean on it.

A police source that confirmed the unfortunate incident to DAILY GUIDE noted that the Tarkwa Divisional Police Command had invited the proprietor and the headmaster of the school for questioning.

The source indicated that the police were investigating whether the owners of the preparatory school had the approval of the Ghana Education Service to operate the school.

Brothers Die
In a related development, two boys who were part of a triplet were found dead at a video game centre at Tarkwa on Monday.

According to sources, the two were final year Junior High School students who were about to write their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) later this month.

DAILY GUIDE learnt that the two deceased persons went to play video game at the centre, which is a small cubicle, the previous day.

Early morning the following day, the last of the triplet went to look for them since they did not return the day before and when he entered the game centre he was shocked to find his brothers lying dead.

Sources had it that the owner of the video game centre had been arrested by the Tarkwa Police pending further investigations.
