SWAN Commends Uduaghan For Sport Promotion

Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Delta State chapter has commended Governor Uduaghan for his unwavering commitment to the promotion of sporting activities in the state.

The chairman of the Association, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, made this commendation during a courtesy visit to the State Commissioner for Information, Chike Ogeah Esq., by members of the Association.

Comrade Ikeogwu also thanked the commissioner for facilitating the approval of the Governor for the training of 30 journalists abroad.

He assured the commissioner of their support even as he appealed for sport journalists in the state to be fully involved in all sporting activities in the state.

Responding the commissioner of Information, Chike Ogeah Esq., who stated that sport is one of the areas the Governor has excelled tremendously enjoined sport writers to be global in their reportage.

He attributed the impressive achievements recorded by the state government to the creation of the Sport Commission by Governor Uduaghan since the inception of his government.

While assuring the journalist of government support as regards the sport commission incorporation in their various activities, the commissioner said that local and global sport coverage will enhance sport reportage.
