A MOTOR RIDER narrowly escaped death when he rammed his motorbike into a moving mini Urvan bus on Easter Sunday - the day Jesus Christ, according to biblical account, rose from the dead.

The horrendous incident happened around 6:00 am at Ahodwo roundabout, a suburb of Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

Luckily, the motor rider, whose name was not immediately known, survived the accident.

He however, sustained facial bruises after a heavy landing on the street.

'Good Samaritans' at the area hurriedly rushed him to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for treatment.

When DAILY GUIDE reached the scene, the rider, who was motionless, had been put in a car and being rushed to the hospital.

Eye witnesses told this paper that he and the Urvan bus were all coming from Ahodwo area towards the roundabout. The Urvan driver reportedly parked his vehicle on the shoulder of the road, temporarily, to pick a passenger and drove ahead.

According to the eye witnesses, as it was getting onto the main road, the mini bus and the motorbike, which was already on the road, clashed.

The impact of the clash was so severe that it carried the motor rider some meters away before he landed heavily on the road.

The Urvan driver and some people around quickly bundled the rider into a waiting taxi cab and rushed him to the hospital for treatment.

Reports gathered by the paper later indicated that the rider regained consciousness even before he reached the hospital.
