Kumasi, April 22, GNA - The Reverend Dr Lawrence Tetteh, President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, says political, religious and traditional leaders must work together to bring progress to the society.

This, he said would provide the crucial ingredient for consolidating the unity of purpose required for national development.

Rev Tetteh was speaking at a news conference to launch the Asanteman for Christ Crusade, that comes off at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi from May 14- May160.

Come and see what the Lord has done, is the theme for the crusade, being organised jointly by the Manhyia Palace, Oral Roberts Ministries of Tulsa Oklahoma, Lawrence Tetteh Worldwide Miracle Outreach and Christian Churches in the Ashanti Region.

It coincides with the 15th anniversary celebration of the enthronement of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, as the 16th Asante King, and to thank God for His goodness, manifold blessings for Asanteman, and to win souls for Christ.

The crusade is again a platform to thank God for the life of the Asantehene and the way God has used him to positively affect the lives of his people.

Rev Tetteh and Dr Richard Roberts are going to be the main speakers at the event, expected to attract more than 100,000 people from all walks of life.

Among other activities would be a school of ministry and leadership training for about 10,000 pastors and church leaders and presentation of food and medical supplies to some orphanages.

Rev Tetteh said it is desirable when peoples culture, traditions and morals converge for the single-minded purpose of making the society a better place.

The wisdom and intellect of kings and queens can only be enhanced through policies, programmes and plans that lead to improvements in the welfare of people, he added.

He said it is important for Ghanaians to recognise that the fear of God is crucial in nation building and that is why the crusade would help to change the moral fibre of the country.

He invited the people to take advantage of the crusade to renew their faith in Christ and work for Ghanas progress.
