Kumasi, April 22, GNA -  The National Union of Presbyterian Students, has inducted its newly- elected officers at a ceremony in Kumasi with a call to them to be open and accountable.

The Reverend Kwaku Bio Kyeame, National Director of the Department of Church Life and Nurture, Presbyterian Church of Ghana, said they should also focus on helping to grow the church.

This they could do by strengthening the unions branches in the various educational institutions, stay in constant touch with the local executives and initiate capacity-building programmes to empower the leadership.

Alfred Appiah is the National President of the seven-member national executive. The others are Anthony Amoamah-Brempong, Vice President, Isaac Afful, General Secretary, Esther Dalieasor, Treasurer, Agnes Armah, Financial Secretary, Samuel Ayantor, Prayer Secretary and Edmund Agormedah, Organising Secretary.

They would serve for a term of two years.
The Rev Kyeame urged them to share ideas with the old executives to ensure cohesion and continuity of its activities.

Mr Joshua Yeboah, immediate past National President, said under his watch, the union worked tirelessly to inculcate the values of Presbyterianism in its members.

This, he said, significantly aided the members to lead decent lives expected of them as Christian students.
