Mr Oppong made the appeal when he addressed a four-day Easter Convention of the Swedru Area branch of the Church of Pentecost at Agona Swedru.

The MCE stressed that government was doing everything possible to find a lasting solution to the economic hardships confronting Ghanaians..

Apostle David Asare, Swedru Area Head of the Church, urged Ghanaians to use the Resurrection power of Christ to love one another to help move the country forward..

At Mensakrom, Odiifo Dadibo Acquah, National Chairman of the Twelve Apostles Church of Ghana, used the occasion to pray for the President, Ministers of State, Municipal Chief Executives and prosperity of the nation.

He cautioned the youth to desist from negative tendencies that could ruin their future.

At Swedru Bebianiha, Rev Fredrick Hanson, Head Pastor of the Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC), appealed to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), to use the Easter celebrations, to reconcile with each other to resolve the economic crisis.

He said 'the nation stands to lose when the two big political parties fight each other.'

He, therefore, urged the parties to come together to ensure peace and economic stability.
