It is now indisputable that Ghana's under-development is a result of the lack of political will on the part of successive governments.Gone were the days when great Africans such as Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela, Patrice Lumumba and the like sacrificed both their human and material resources to the development of their nations.
Today, the same cannot be said of our leaders.Leaders who are expected to sacrifice for their people rather use the opportunity to amass wealth for themselves and their families.Even when they are in office, they are treated like kings.
They eat the best meals in Ghana, receive fat salaries and allowances and above all, are exempted from tax.Not even Jesus Christ or Moses was treated like that by their followers.I end here with a call on politicians and public office holders alike to emulate the examples set by Nkrumah, Lumumba and Mandela in order to move Ghana forward.A word to a wise is enough.
