The Immediate Past General Secretary of the New Patriotic party (NPP), Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John has charged all members of the party and the immediate past executives of the party to rally behind current executives of the party to secure victory come 2016.

Speaking to HELLO FM's King Edward this morning in an interview, the former general secretary of the NPP explained that what the party needs to focus on now is victory 2016. We can only do this if we put our differences behind and concentrate on the main agenda for the party which is winning power and redeeming Ghanaians from the bondage and hardships of the corrupt NDC government.

We have done our part, delegates have spoken so we should think victory, he added. Winning 2016 is a must for the NPP – the newly-elected executives cannot do it alone, they need our immense support and contribution to push them to the top.

He expressed his appreciation to the Almighty God and everybody in the party especially delegates for the immense support and contribution towards the success of their national delegates conference

When asked about his political career, the immediate past general secretary disclosed that he is still an active politician and will continue to assist the party anytime, any day as far as winning the 2016 general election is concerned.

But for the time being, I am retiring to my holy village, Onoo, a suburb of Kumasi to seek the face of God before I come out with my future plans, he noted.
