Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II, the newly installed Adansihene who is currently on a private visit to the United States granted audience to some Adansi citizens residing in the United States.

Known in private life as Mr. Kwaku Bonsra, Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II was installed chief of Fomena on January 24, 2014, succeeding Nana OforiAgyemang II, who died on July 15, 2005.

He is the overlord of the Adansi state which is made up of seven Divisions; Fomena, Ayaase, Dompoase, Akrokerri, Akrofuom, Bodwesango and Edubiase. The new chief made a passionate appeal to them to unite and foster good relations among themselves and also appealed to them to adopt their various towns in Adansi and mobilize financial and material resources to Support the town.

He on his part and pledged to do everything within his power to resolve all obstacles that had impeded the installation of vacant stools in the Divisional areas under Adansi. The capital of the Adansi tribe is at Fomena. The Adansi tribe stretches from the Pra River to the south to the Asante paramountcy of Bekwai to the north. It is also bound to the south-west by the Twi-speaking Denkyera tribe.
