Countess Amelia Academy (CAA) at Obosomase in the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly (ANMA) of the Eastern Region has held a series of activities to mark the celebration of the school's annual partnership day with its German counterpart, KGS Am Roemerhof.
The CEO of the school, Rev Mrs Grace Dodoo, in a speech to declare the week-long celebration said the partnership day celebration was a very important event in the history of the school.
The CEO continued that the event was to give both pupils, staff and parents a platform to reflect on the school's relationship with its partners, KGS Am Roemerhoff, Aachen in Germany.
Rev Mrs Grace Dodoo further said CAA had since 2006 benefited in cash remittances to support various projects in the school as well as other donations made up of learning and teaching resources and a-25 seater bus.
She paid glowing tribute to the Administrator of KGS Am Roemerhof, Mrs Brigitte Althof through whose efforts the partnership project between the two schools continues to grow.
The Head of Administration of CAA, Rev Jerry Dodoo said activities planned for the celebrations include group studies of the history of Aachen, general knowledge quiz competition based on the history of the two schools, sack race, and soccer competition between the two schools (F/C KGSvrs F/C CAA).
Rev Jerry Dodoo continued that pupils would visit the school's new site to weed and fence round a mahogany tree donated by Mrs Brigitte Althoff as a seal of the partnership between both schools.
The Head of Administration reiterated the importance of the celebrations and urged both parents and staff and pupils to play active roles.
Mrs Brigitte Althof, who is also the Head of Administration in KGS Am Romerhof, Aachen in Germany in an e-mail communication commended CAA for sustaining the celebration of the partnership day in the school.
She expressed satisfaction about the mutual cooperation that continues to exist between the two schools.
