Alan Kyeremanten Loses It—NDC Amsterdam

NDC Amsterdam Branch in its monthly communique to its members has said that it is indeed laughable to see NPP leaders scrambling to quench their thirst in the abundance of water , where water metaphorically means Political conscience. Elaborating on the upcoming NPP delegates conference in Tamale, the leadership of the NDC Amsterdam, said Ghanaians should be able to read between the lines when certain gurus of the NPP start talking about their hunger for power because these are traits of an un-caring group of leaders who have lost focus on the real prize issues of our beloved country, Ghana.

As a people, Ghanaians are slowly getting to understand the need to vote into power leaders that do not put the cart in front of the horse, by putting winning first and desires/rights/welfare of the people second. The communique went on to say that, Alan Kyeremanten lost the little credibility he had left in the hearts and minds of Ghanaians, when he wrote in his message to the NPP delegates, “We are dealing with an incumbent which came to power through what we consider to be very questionable means, and Obviously, that incumbent would want to use 2016 to prove hook or crook, that they won 2012 fairly. We can therefore not leave anything to chance or complacency in our preparation for 2016 , I am therefore appealing to all delegates to do their best to elect for our party, competent leaders who will work their blood out for victory in 2016 “ (un-quote).

Ghana needs leaders that are able to chew onto their pride and ego, and ready to work diligently to address the issues and challenges facing the average “Nyame Adom” Ghanaian, and not the DO AND DIE type of leader looking to feed his/her own ego/pride at the expense of the average Ghanaian.

Finally the communique, urged all Ghanaians to be on their toes and demand accountability from political leaders / policy makers, as that would be the best way to combat corruption. Our Police chief (IGP) in his plea to Ghanaians to report corrupt police men/women failed to highlight the other side of the coin, where Police men/women can also arrest members of the public who try to Bribe them.

Because come to think of it, if someone is ready to bribe a police officer, then logical he or she has the funds/means to pay or cough out any fine meted onto him or her. The Police force should set up a fund, that would be financed by all the FINES meted on persons that try to bribe/corrupt them and proceeds from this fund can be used by the Police Station best to show / exhibit best practices by issuing receipts to the fine.
