Kenyan government has on Wednesday deported from its country over 80 Somali nationals, including women and children following massive crackdown against Somali ethnic community.

A plane carrying 80 Somalia has arrived at Aden Adde International airport in Mogadishu, with Somalia government officials saying that they will facilitate the deportation process by Kenyan government.

Last week, police and military personnel under Kenyan government directives launched a immense crackdown targeting ethnic Somalis in what Nairobi described as an anti-terrorist operation that has resulted in 4,000 arrests.

Kenyan military and police forces continue arresting people without identity documents in the capital's Somali-dominated suburb of Eastleigh following a blast in the area on March 31 which killed six people.

Somalis have faced an increasingly hostile environment in Kenya following a string of attacks by the militant group Al Shabaab, based in neighbouring Somalia, on Kenyan soil, including a deadly assault on Nairobi's Westgate shopping mall in September 2013.
