By NPP UK
Diaspora (UK & Ireland) NPP UK: Goodwill Message To Aspirants And Delegates
APR 10, 2014 LISTEN

On Saturday 12th April, 2014 The New Patriotic Party continues its journey towards recapturing power in 2016 by holding a National Delegates Congress to elect National officers to steer the affairs of the party for the next 4 years.

The perils, sacrifices, and risks involved in party work was seen with the very unfortunate accident involving Mr Kwabena Agyepong, an aspirant for General Secretary ,who was involved in an accident on the Accra - Nsawam Road, together with some members of his campaign team. Our thoughts are with his family, and his campaign team, and we wish him and all involved, a speedy recovery.

We salute the incumbent General Secretary Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie for showing leadership by suspending his campaign. These acts show the spirit of goodwill, unity of purpose as well as the mutual respect and admiration between colleagues.

At times like these we must soberly reflect on the selfless sacrifices we continue to make and appreciate, and respect one another. We must all put our personal interests aside and work together for the common good of the party.

We pray that almighty God protects all our party delegates as they journey to Tamale, the Northern Regional capital to hold the congress.

We call on all party members to accept and respect the outcome of the elections, and commit ourselves to support the in-coming National Executives to succeed.

Let our actions before and after the congress put our detractors to shame, and let us send a clear message to Ghanaians that we are ready, willing and focused on regaining power from the NDC who have reduced our country to a republic of corruption and mismanagement!!!

God Bless NPP!!!
