PPP PPP Urges Minority In Parliament To Serve Their Real Pupose

National Vice Chairman of the Progressive People's Party, Mary Ankomah Boakye-Boateng, has accused the minority party in Parliament for abandoning their role as effective opposition to scrutinize the work of the President Mahama led administration while busily occupied with internal party contest for offices and flag bearer positions.

Speaking at a press conference Madam Boakye-Boateng analyzed that the PPP is the current third biggest political party in the country but was quick to add though that it was equally the largest opposition party in Ghana in terms of concrete ideas for transformational governance for the country. She said this at a press conference in Accra on the state of the party in respect to activities marking the second anniversary celebration of the PPP slated for this year.

In her submission, Madam Boakye-Boateng described as crises the state of livelihood of Ghanaians. According to her social life under President John Mahama leaves very little to be desired mentioning challenges in the energy sector, water shortages, issues bothering on corruption, the rapid depreciation of the national currency, poor sanitation and the deterioration of educational standards in the country.

She establishes that since the exit of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah no leader has been able to deliver the country from economic bondage, expressing her disappointment in both the NDC and NPP in repositioning themselves to yet again compete for power in the 2016 elections and keep Ghanaians in perpetual economic slavery.

Outlaying the future plans of the PPP, she noted the party will leave no stone unturned to confront, fight and defeat the NDC and the NPP election machines on all fronts, to rescue and deliver the good people of Ghana from the present government.

She reveals that immediately after the 2012 elections the PPP had already began the process of organizing at the polling station level conducting constituency elections after which they will conduct regional and national conferences to elect party officers respectfully while additionally planning to elect their parliamentary candidates by the end of the year.

Madam Boakye-Boateng concluded by calling on genuine religious leaders in the country to join forces with the PPP to pray to God in order to enlighten Ghanaian voters to discern between which political party is good or bad for the total development of the country come December 7th 2016.
