THE ACID VICTIM RETURNS TO GHANA

Mr. Peter Mensah, the Npp member who was attacked with acid by some Ndc hooligans when returning home after a peace talk which was organised by the Methodist Church in Techiman in the Brong-Ahafo region left Germany on Sunday the 9th of March 2014 to Ghana after a promising medical check-up.

Words cannot express the very terrible moments Mr. Mensah had to endure after this unfortunate and barbaric incident by the Yaw Boateng Gyan soldiers. Thankfully, with the support of the Npp, the party he so loves, things are returning to normal.

What the Ndc forgets to understand is what democracy really means. In democracy people can choose to belong to any party and also be free to express themselves peacefully. To me, I believe the Ndc thinks we are still in the era of coup d'états and bloody revolutions. No wonder when you are not with them, they see you and brand you as an enemy worthy of acid being poured on you.

Their aim towards Mr. Mensah was to kill him and put fear in the entire NPP as they did to the Judges of the Supreme Court, but they have failed. Now the resolve of the masses of the people is unwavering. Their violent approach to everything is not what we need. Although their campaign message is one of violence, we Patriots are not alarmed one bit. Recently an Npp member was killed in Sanerigu in the Northern Region by people believed to be Ndc members. Ghana needs peace and real democratic principles where political violence will be a thing of the past.

Mr Mensah was seen off at the Frankfurt International Airport by some of the Npp members led by the National Vice-Chairman Rev. Alex Acheampong, and some executives of the Frankfurt chapter. Various items and donations were presented to him before leaving Germany.
