Government commended for making ODASCO model school

Akim Oda, March 31, GNA - Mr David Afosah-Anim, headmaster of Oda Secondary School, on Tuesday commended the government for embarking on a 16-billion-cedi expansion project to upgrade the school into a model one. He gave the assurance that the school authorities would collaborate efforts with parents and students to ensure discipline necessary for effective academic work. The headmaster was speaking when Mr Kwaku Bram-Larbi, a legal practitioner and leader of the schools' past students, presented books valued five million cedis to the alma mater at Akim Oda. Mr Joseph Appiah, a London-based past student of the school donated the books.

Mr Afosah-Anim praised the past students for contributing to the development of the educational institution. Mr Bram-Larbi appealed to students of the school to learn hard to enable them pass their examinations to justify the huge investments being made in their education. Dr Kwame George Aning, a member of the group, also asked them to avoid sexual promiscuity; drug abuse, prostitution, armed robbery and other vices that might affect their development. He said the group would continue to work assiduously to improve academic performance of the students. The presentation co-incided with a meeting of the past students, members of staff and students of the school to initiative measures aimed at enhancing teaching and learning.
