COALITION OF YOUNG LIBERALS (COYLIB) will not be surprised in January 2014 to have J.J Rawlings and Justice W.Atuguba nominated into the 'category of hypocrisy' for the awards of statesmanship.

'Birds of the same feathers flock together' as the adage goes. Both men do not only flock together but also confuse each other.

There is no doubt that, all great nations have great leaders and statesmen who directs, support their people in times of hardship; and also offer coherent solutions to problems.

For instance countries such as Japan, United States of America, United Kingdom and France etc always have statesmen and past political leaders coming together in one spirit during difficult times to solve complex problems that directly or indirectly affect their nationals.

In the spirit of John Agyekum Kuffour, the National Reconciliation Commission (NRC) was established to heal the wounds, pains and atrocities committed by J.J Rawlings in the 19 years of dictatorship. The removal of the criminal libel law and the deepening of democracy in Ghana consolidate his master piece of ideas and admiration among leaders all over the world.

COYLID was shocked and baffled by the attacks of J.J. Rawlings on two former Presidents. We strongly believe that there were no justifications for such attacks. Rawlings lack of respect for his colleagues was genetically borne out of naivety and jealousy with respect to the fact that former President Kuffour was recently appointed by the United Nations.

The International Youth Fellowship regional camp meeting at Adidome Senior High School had exposed the long standing etiological myth surrounding J.J Rawlings, his constant denial of the murder of the three judges and other atrocities committed against Ghanaians.

We want to use this medium to remind Ghanaians that J.J Rawlings is an architect and a participant of coup d'états. His alliance with Justice W. Atuguba should not be taken lightly.

COYLIB condemns unreservedly, Justice W. Atuguba's comment at legal aid forum in Kumasi which states ''I, therefore, urge that in Ghana everybody should rise to claim the state for his own...Sometimes we feel that the government is not proactive when it comes to expanding the frontiers of social justice in the form of access to justice delivery but sometimes the fault comes from ourselves''.

Justice W.Atuguba's quest to pursue social justice was out of place and a dangerous development that needs urgent response from the security agencies in the country to extend an invitation for further interrogation with regards to his statement.

COYLIB have no shred of doubt, that, this is a strategy J.J Rawlings and his cohorts are using to sow a seed of dissension in the country and stage another coup d'état in the course of the year. We are also convinced that, the self-acclaimed God of the Supreme Court of Ghana and a follower of J.J Rawlings used his statement to test the waters.

The weakness of Mahama-Amissah administration had opened the flood gates for J.J Rawlings to beat the coup drums. We therefore urge the youth in the country to be vigilant because such similar events took place before Dr Hilla Limann's government was toppled in 1981.

Justice W. Atuguba compounded the suffering of Ghanaians and delivered injustice to the citizens.

William Shakespeare was right when he said,''cowards die many times before their death''. Justice W. Atuguba announced in fury during the adjudicating of the election petition, ''the court has the power to deal mercilessly with anyone even including the president of Ghana''. Justice W. Atuguba later gave Ghanaians false hope.

COYLIB will like to engage our readers on some of the bad Character traits of J.J Rawlings.

Rawlings is the ''Augusto Pinochet'' in Ghana; his track record in human rights were the worst in the nations' history. Under his 19 year dictatorship, George Naykene; editor of the Christian Chronicle newspaper, Ben Quarcoo; editor of the Free press newspaper and other journalists in the country were detained, manhandled, touched with knives, beaten and imprisoned under the criminal libel law. Several executions took place which lead to the death of Lt.Gen Afrifa, Gen.Acheapong, Lt.Gen Akuffo, Major Gen.E.K Utuka and four other senior officers.(Amnesty International Report,1993-1999)

Rawlings is the most corrupt leader in African; he deceived Ghanaians to deposit old fifty notes into the bank account and then promised to pay the various depositors. Unfortunately, he used that mechanism to enrich himself and rendered the hard working Ghanaians poor. J.J.Rawlings adventure of selling state properties and other national assets to his cronies became his hobby for his 19 year rule.

''Fireman Rawlings'' burnt his Ridge-residence; the country was in great shock after it rained cats and dogs the night of the incident, his residence was burnt beyond recognition. J.J Rawlings request for a new residence from late President Mills exposed his bad motives and malicious intent to sabotage Mills-Mahama administration. J.J Rawlings continuous harassment of late President Atta Mills, assaulted Vice President Kow Nkesen Arkaah, and the overthrow of Dr Hilla Limann makes him a complete bully.

Rawlings economic policies made Ghana a highly indebted country in the whole sub-Sahara Africa.

COALITION OF YOUNG LIBERALS (COYLIB) will want to put it on record that, the removal of the Criminal Libel law, the expansion of the tenets of democracy in the country, the good economic decisions, and the reconciliation processes under the Leadership of John Agyekum Kuffour (former President and AU chairman) made Ghana a better place to live.

COYLIB can state on authority that, Justice W. Atuguba's judgement defeated the objective to erase multiple registrations and avoid double voting in Ghana elections. His inability to deliver justice to his people makes him a complete shamble at the bar.

Both J.J Rawlings and Justice W. Atuguba have no moral authority to comment on issues bothering Ghanaians because the two have created problems that cannot bring solutions to the citizens but rather cover up the mess which could be avoided.

Mother Ghana wants to move forward with selfless and committed leaders who have good things to offer the citizenry.

God blesses Ghana
