Victoria Hammah Said It All: Take It Or Leave It!!
18.11.2013 LISTEN

Victoria Hammah's tape gives a vivid picture of the John Mahama-led NDC administration. The selection of ministers and the massive corruptions are no news again because it is the order of the day and it appears Victoria will save the $1 Million dollars even if she is dismissed.

What is important is the allegation of the role played by Nana Oye Lithur in the landmark case, Ghana Election Petition. It is not the first time of hearing about people influencing the justices of the highest court of the land.

Similar allegations came from Kumasi and whether the Asantehene was involved or not, the case has died a natural death.

That of Oye Lithur is from the mouth of a minister who held a very responsible position in Government, hence there is the need to delve deep into the allegation .

We hold the strong belief that soiling the names of the Supreme Court justices will drive out foreign investors and also prepare, the grounds for insecurity in future elections.

If it comes out that Victoria's allegation was not true, our justices would be cleared and their reputation will be intact. When this happens, no political party can resort to guns to settle election results.

But if we sweep this allegation under the carpet, we do so at our own risk since future politicians would use it as a tool to bring social disorder. Nobody wishes for social strive but it is inevitable when people do not have any alternative of setting their grievances.

We call on the Chief Justice to conduct a proper investigation on the issue. Many people continue to doubt the ATUGUBA VERDICT and such allegation could be used in future to send the nation on war path.

We also call on Ghanaians to think deep and eschew tribalism; we need to vote for people who are serious and capable to deliver. The tape indicates that the present administration is based on whom you know and not what you know. At the time when all economic woes in the world are hanging on the necks of every Ghanaian, those in power are aiming at saving fists of dollars. No wonder cocoa farmers will be deprived of insecticides and roads will move from pot holes to grave yards.

The pathetic aspect of it all is that whether one votes for NDC or not the economic woes hang on all of us.

Let us think carefully, and vote on principles--it is time high time we did away with tribal sentiments. We need politicians who will promote education , jobs, good roads, farming, medical care, public security etc . Let us all sit down and unite to drive all the good for nothing politicians away. One people one destiny should be our watch words. Long live Ghana.
