Bias Officiating Cited For Inter Allies FC Defeat To Edubiase
03.10.2013 LISTEN

Inter Allies FC were handed a painful 1-0 defeat at the Gyamfi park in Bekwai during the mid week premier league fixture. Referee Fred Andoh and his linesmen marred the beauty of the game in the 2nd half with bais officiating that left the Allies players frustrated. The numerous unqualified free kicks awarded to Edubiase around the Inter Allies goal area finally paid off and Edubiase's James Boadu got the only goal in the game after a goalmouth melee about 20 minutes to full time.

The Ghana Football Association's good gesture of sending a cameraman to capture all games across the league centers to expose bad officiating, crowd violence etc. before, during and after matches is a step in the right direction. The PLB must get a copy of the game to see the shameful act of Fred Andoh and his linesmen and sanction them to prevent future occurrences.

.....JOSEPH TEKYI MENSON INJURED AS REFEREE LOOKS ON

Inter Allies FC's experienced player, Joseph Tekyi Menson was badly injured in the face when he featured in the 4th week premier league game against Edubiase SC in Bekwai. Tekyi Menson was hit in the face by an Edubiase player in the 1st half of the game when he was in control of a ball, but referee Fred Andoh looked on and allowed play to continue.

The veteran player was left on the pitch in pain for a while before the referee finally stopped the game for the medics to attend to him. His injury was so bad that it affected his right eye and had to be substituted. Joseph Tekyi Menson's early exit in the game also affected the play of Inter Allies since he was the pillar in the midfield for the team.
