The fate of some New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidates in the 2012 parliamentary elections still continues to hang in the balance after the August 29th Supreme Court judgement.

Lawyer for the over 40 Parliamentary candidates, Ayikoi Otoo told  Citi News that if his clients are able to provide enough evidence, ''then we can proceed with the hearing; if they are unable to produce the evidence that will be problematic…''

According to Lawyer Otoo, the dismissal of the petitioner's case by the Supreme Court does not mean the aggrieved parliamentary candidates in the 2012 polls do not have a case.

He said once the candidates can provide enough evidence to support their case then they can go to court.

The Supreme Court dismissed the case of the 2012 presidential election petitioners on over voting, voting without biometric and the absence of Presiding Officers' signatures.

The ruling of the Supreme Court is bound to have a bearing on the judgement anticipated by the NPP Parliamentary Candidates contesting their loss at various High Courts in the country.
