ARMAJARO Ghana Limited, a cocoa purchasing company, has inaugurated a cocoa warehouse in the country.

Dubbed the 'COCOBOD-Armajaro Sustainable Cocoa Warehouse', the warehouse occupies 20,160 square metres and can store up to 50,000 tonnes of cocoa.

The facility, which was constructed by FNJ Investments Limited, a construction company in Ghana, has offices, bathrooms and locker rooms for drivers and labourers, a canteen and modern weigh bridges at both entry and exit points, as well as a well-planned parking space.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Managing Director of Armajaro Ghana limited, Mr Rahul Gopinath, commended the government for creating an enabling environment for businesses in the country to thrive.

He said the serene political climate in the country was one of the main reasons that motivated the company to invest in Ghana.

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Haruna Iddrisu, urged the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) to keep assisting such laudable initiatives and also maintain the highest level of quality at all times.

He assured the firm of the government's continuous support to create the best possible environment for businesses to thrive in the country.

He also commended Armajaro Ghana Limited for the bold initiative in constructing the facility which, he said, would not only generate jobs but also enhance the country's competitiveness in the export of cocoa.
