Kuapa Kokoo marks 19th milestone

The conference, held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, was to assess the company's performance and adopt strategies to increase its market share of cocoa purchases in the country.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr Emmanuel Arthur, Acting Managing Director of Kuapa Kokoo Limited (KKL), said  last year, the company purchased a total of 698,401 and made a net profit of GH¢388,265, due to the commitment and loyalty of the company's farmers and purchasing clerks.

He called on the farmers and purchasing clerks to intensify their efforts to improve upon their market share.

Dr Kwabena Osei, a senior lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), stressed the need for farmers to adopt and embrace modern techniques for cocoa production.  

He commended the company for their lead role in the purchase of cocoa in the country.

The President of the Kuapa Kokoo Farmers Union (KKFU), Ms Ali Fatima, was present at the conference.
