Jaman South District Association of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) has expressed their profound gratitude to the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Julius Atta Bediako, for his good work in the district, especially to PWDs since he assumed office.

Mr Charles Adjei Mensah, chairman of the association, gave the commendation at the fourth distribution of disability funds at Drobo in the Jaman South District in the Brong Ahafo Region.

He  announced that so far, GH¢67,100.00 had been disbursed to 232 beneficiaries between 2012 and 2013.

Mr Mensah described Mr Atta Bediako as an achiever who deserved to be retained as the DCE for Jaman South and added that he was a man of integrity, God-fearing and committed to the welfare of the people in the area.

He also mentioned some of the projects done through the support of the district assembly, including the construction of school buildings, extension of electricity to some areas such as Jejemireja, Nyamefie, Abuokrom and Miremaano, as well as the provision of boreholes, supply of school uniforms, increase in the school feeding programme and the construction of roads in the area.

Mr Bediako thanked the association for its commendation and assured its members  that the government was still committed to supporting them to improve their lives. He said the government would support members to cater for themselves and their families, as well as contribute their quota to the development of the district.

Mr Bediako also gave an assurance that those who did not benefit this time should not worry or lose hope,  since they would also get their share next time and advised them to make good use of the money given them to ensure the realisation of the Better Ghana Agenda.
