Barwuah re-elected PM of Ahafo Ano North Assembly

In the first round, Mr Barwuah polled 32 of the total 54 votes. Mr Jones Boadi, 36, also a teacher and Mr Boakye Dankwa, 28, a Chemical Engineer, polled 12 and 10 votes, respectively.

However, in the second round, Mr Bawuah polled 42 votes as against 12 votes by his closest challenger, Mr Boadi.

Mr Bawuah expressed gratitude to the assembly members for renewing their confidence in him and pledged not to betray their trust.

He urged the members and staff of the assembly to re-dedicate themselves to the task of accelerating the pace of the district's development with hard work and a united front.

He asked the assembly members to be tolerant in the course of their work and be guided against expressing opinions based on party inclinations.

He also called on the assembly members to closely work with the Ahafo Ano North District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Addai Amankwah,in order to take the district far.
