The Convention People's Party (CPP) has denied claims that its top executives were involved in financial impropriety in the build up to the last elections.

The Daily Graphic on Thursday cited a leaked report compiled by a committee set up to investigate the allegations, saying it allegedly indicted the party's presidential candidate for the 2012 elections Dr. Abu Sakara, the Chairman Samia Nkrumah, General Secretary Ivor Greenstreet and another member of the party.

However, Mr. Greenstreet has told Joy News that no such allegations are evident in the party's audited accounts due to be presented to the Electoral Commission.

“…None of the content [in the audited report] reflects anything of the nature of what this [media] report is attempting to allude to,” he stated.

“…It's clearly an attempt by persons or institutions unknown to paint a bad picture of the party in the public domain and we refute those allegations in the entirety”.
