A-G Begins Process To Retrieve Judgment Debt From Waterville

Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Marietta Brew Appiah Oppong seems to have started the process to retrieve the over 40 million Euros from Waterville Holdings.

The Attorney General has officially written to the Supreme Court registry requesting for a copy of last Friday's ruling on the payment of the said amount to be retrieved for the state.

The request came a day after Deputy Minister for Information and Media Relations, Murtalla Mohammed, announced the government's commitment to retrieve the money from the company.

The Supreme Court by a unanimous decision ruled in favor of former Attorney General, Martin Amidu in the suit filed against Alfred Agbesi Woyome, Waterville Holdings and Austro Invest.

According to the ruling, Waterville Holdings must refund the amount paid to them by the state.
