Suspended stalwart of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby (Tarzan), has been facing the party's disciplinary committee.
Joy News' Joseph Gakpo said Dr Wereko-Brobby arrived at the headquarters Friday afternoon and was greeted by the party's General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie.
Tarzan was suspended from the party following his recent criticisms of the party's decision to challenge the outcome of the 2012 presidential results at the Supreme Court.
He had earlier indicated he was not going to appear before the committee because calls for his suspension contravene the party's constitution. In an interview on the Super Morning Show on Friday, Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby indicated that he still maintains his position about the party.
Tarzan also apologised to the party's 2012 running mate Dr Mahamadu Bawumia for unsavoury comments he made about him on his submissions in the election petition hearing.
Joy News correspondent Joseph Gakpo said a few NPP supporters had gathered at the headquarters. He said most of them wanted the issue resolved quickly.

Kick Dr Wireko Brobey out of the NPP.He is vindctive and likes the sound of his own voice. This makes him act before he thinks. He is very sel-opinionated and this attitude cannot help a political party anywhere in the world.
