
Vice President, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, has commended industrial mining giants, AngloGold Ashanti for the measures it has taken to control and prevent Malaria.
He was speaking at a three-day mining summit, which is on the theme, 'Making Mining the True Catalyst for Development: Thinking Outside the Box'.
The summit is being attended by over 100 exhibitors in the mining and allied sectors from Ghana and beyond.
'I Would like to commend AngloGold Ashanti for initiating the Malaria Control Programme which has significantly reduced the incidence of malaria cases in the country,' the Vice President said.
He further called on the company to endeavour to sustain the programme to ensure that the gains made are not eroded and to impact a lot more people across the country.
