The debate over the sale of Merchant Bank takes center stage as the government's Economic Management Team meets at the Flagstaff House today.
It is being chaired by Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur. The meeting comes ahead of a scheduled news conference to be addressed by the Finance Minister later today.
Information Minister Mahama Ayariga told journalists the meeting will also discuss other issues on the economy.
The Minister was speaking at the daily meet the press briefing at the Presidency.

Mahama Ayariga also answered questions on why police had to take statements from the journalist who investigated the matter as the complainant.
