A senior partner at international accounting firm KMPG has disclosed in a telephone interview with the Producer of Adom TV's Badwam morning show, Dominic Kissi Yeboah, that counting of the contested Pink Sheet evidence will resume today.
According to him, a meeting was held between the stakeholders in the ongoing case at the Supreme Court case yesterday (May 21) and the issues have been resolved.
The conclusion of the meeting was for the counting to continue today while other matters are resolved between the Registrar and KPMG.
Respondents in the case Tuesday raised questions at the court over what they say are seven additional boxes of pink sheet evidence in the custody of the Registry of the Supreme Court.
According to them, they counted 24 boxes of evidence last Thursday but the number had increased to 31 when they checked a few days later.
Mr Winful had told viewers on Badwam that the company's officials had not taken part in any inventory but only held a meeting to set out modalities for the counting of the pink sheets which has been in dispute.
According to the respondents, the total number of pink sheets does not tally with the petitioners' claim of having submitted 11, 842 pieces of pink sheets.
The judges directed the respondents to revert to KPMG to either resolve the matter or put their complaints in writing for further cross examination after counting is complete. - See more at: http://www.adomonline.com/news_details.php?article=223#sthash.W7KQes76.dpuf
