The Secretary General of the All Africa Students' Union (AASU), Mr. Awaah Fred will leave Accra on Tuesday May 21, 2013 to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to partake in the upcoming African Union 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Whilst there, he is expected to speak on the subject “The Africa We Want to See in 2063: Youth Participation”. His presentation will be done within the framework of a Youth Forum slated for 22nd to 25th May 2013 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the African Union (AU) under the theme: African Renaissance/Africa as we want to see in 2063.
On the 23rd May 2013 a Session shall be held on the Africa Youth as projected in 2013 (challenges and expected status) and addressed by Almadi Alhindawi, UN Special Envoy on the Topic - The Role of the UN in Youth development in Africa. This will be followed by contributions of discussants; among them, the Secretary General of AASU as stated above.
In a related development, Mr. Richmond Neufville - Deputy Secretary of AASU is in Liberia to spearhead the resolution of the recent leadership crisis that has engulfed the Liberia National Students' Union (LINSU).
