Businessman Alfred Woyome is paranoid - CPP Vice Chairperson

Businessman Alfred Woyome has been advised to block off public criticism and focus on seeking justice from the courts.

First Vice Chairperson of the Convention People's Party, Susan Adu Amankwah has described Mr. Woyome's outburst at the recent press conference as one that portrays him to be 'paranoid'.

She was speaking on the AM Show on Multi TV. Alfred Woyome is in court over the controversial 51.2 million Ghana cedi judgment debt he won, which is being challenged by the state.

Mr. Woyome at the press conference threatened to come out with a list of NPP and NDC functionaries who have been part of deals that smacked of corruption and has accused some of these functionaries as the cause of his vilification in the court of public opinion.

But Susan Adu Amankwah says Mr. Woyome's cries are not new and of no current value. She argues that reports on the controversial judgment will be open to spins and twists by the media but he must hold firm and ward off any criticisms.

Member of Parliament for North Dayi, George Loh who was also on the AM Show on Multi TV says Mr. Woyome is within his rights to call a press conference to voice out his frustrations and clear the air on the recent events relating to the case in court. He says Mr. Woyome is being tried in the court of public opinion and was therefore important for him to set his records straight.
