Parliament Approves 35 Deputy Ministers

Parliament Has By Consensus Given Approval To 35 Deputy Ministers After Adopting The 9th, 10th And 11th Reports Of The Appointment Committee Yesterday.

The Approved Nominees Include; Hon. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine -Deputy Minister-Designate For Justice And Attorney General, Ms. Barbara Serwaa Asamoah – Deputy Minister-Designate For Lands And Natural Resources, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – Deputy Minister-Designate For Education, Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu – Deputy Minister-Designate For Information And Media Relations.

Hon. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson – Deputy Minister-Designate For Finance, Ambassador Thomas Kwesi Quartey – Deputy Minister-Designate For Foreign Affairs And Regional Integration, Hon. Emmanuel Kwadwo  Agyekum – Deputy Minister-Designate For Local Government And Rural Development And  Dr. Bernice Adiku Heloo – Deputy Minister-Designate For Environment, Science, Technology And  Innovation.

Others Include Mrs. Joyce Bawah Mogtari -Deputy Minister-Designate For Transport, Hon. George Kweku Ricketts Hagan -Deputy Minister -Designate For Finance, Dr. Ahmed Yakubu Alhassan – Deputy Minister-Designate For Food And Agriculture, Hon. Murtala Muhammed Ibrahim – Deputy Minister-Designate For Information And Media Relations, Hon. Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye – Deputy Minister-Designate For Trade And Industry, Ms. Victoria Lakshmi Hamah – Deputy Minister-Designate For Communications And Hon. Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed – Deputy Minister-Designate For Local Government And Rural Development.

Isaac Adjei Mensah – Deputy Minister-Designate For Roads And Highways, Ms. Abla Dzifa Gomashie – Deputy Minister-Designate For Tourism, Culture And Creative Arts, Mr. Antwi Boasiako Sekyere – Deputy Minister-Designate For Employment And Labour Relations, Hon. Hon. Benita Sena Okity Duah – Deputy Minister-Designate For Gender, Children And Social Protection, Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw -Deputy Minister -Designate For Food And Agriculture, Hon. In Supporting The Approval Of The Deputy Ministers -Designate, The Deputy Majority Leader And Member Of Parliament (Mp) For Ashaiman, Hon Alfred Agbezi Kwame Said The Various Nominees Had Performed Creditably When They Appeared Before The Appointment Committee.

He Disclosed That The Nominees Had So Far Proven To Be Qualified, Competent Which He Said Would Help The President In Achieving Its Target, And Called On The Other Members Of The August House To Support The Motion.

On His Part, The Mp For Shai Osudoku, Hon. David Assumeng Tetteh Added That The Nominees Are All Knowledgeable People Who Would Work Hard To Support Their Substantive Ministers In Achieving The Better Ghana Promise By The Ndc Government.
