More Demonstrations Hit Ghana’s President In London

The Coalition of Ghanaians against Electoral Fraud(COGEF) and Democrats against Repression and Dictatorship in GhanaDRD-Ghana) invite all Ghanaians to a day of protest against Mr John Dramani Mahama, the man at the centre of one of Africa's most fraudulent and despicable elections which is now been contested at the Supreme court of Ghana.

Mr John Dramani Mahama, in the mould of Idi Amin Dada of Uganda and Hosni Mubarak of Egypt has adopted methods of repression in order to silence dissenting voices and those opposed to his rule. We call on him to step down and face investigations into human rights abuses as well as torture of innocent prisoners and detention of opposition figures in the northern part of Ghana.

Mr Mahama has ordered the police and the security services to ban all demonstrations and rallies with immediate effect under the frivolous excuse that Police personnel will not be available to to manage and control crowds. Any one who demonstrates against the government is likely to face arrest and detention without trial.

His lack of respect for civil liberties and his efforts at restricting free speech through his information minister and other surrogates who are calling for a cancellation of the live television broadcast of the Supreme court case on National Television which has enormous implications for the country's political future is part of his diabolical plans to suppress truth and accountability.

Ghana is suffering from nepotism, tribalism, illegitimacy and misrule with millions of dollars being embezzled every week fro government coffers ,from guinea fowls to gold smuggled weekly in huge quantities to Iran, to phantom It Hope City projects to shady bank transactions, Ghana, once the black star of Africa is staring in the abyss.

The Times Newspaper and other pillars of British Business should not be giving audience to questionable leaders and illegitimate Presidents whose mandate are a subject of contention and dispute. The Times newspaper of the UK must inform itself of recent events in Ghana instead of trying to paint a favourable picture of a country which whose economy and political climate is at ground zero and a man who has the blood of ex Presidents on his hands.

All roads lead to the Tate Gallery in Waterloo and the Savoy Hotel near Charing cross Station on Monday evening to demonstrate and call to an end to stealing, pillaging of the nations resources and an end to fraudulent elections in Ghana.
