The European Union (E.U) has unequivocally endorsed the position taken by the Association of Concerned Ghanaians in Europe (ACGIE) in respect of the election petition pending before the Supreme Court of Ghana.
It would be recalled that on March 29 2013, ACGIE petitioned the EU to take interest in the election petition and assist Ghana during the proceedings and after the ruling.
In the said petition ACGIE argued that as an important development partner, the EU has an interest in ensuring that Ghana remains a peaceful and stable democracy.
In its response dated May 13, the 27 member organization endorsed ACGIE's stance and pledged to use its good offices to support Ghana at this crucial time in her political history.
Below is the E.U's response to the Petition submitted by ACGIE.
