Accra Brewery Supports VORDA

Accra Brewery Limited (ABL), Ghana's premier beverage producer has presented ten thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢10,000) to the Volta Region Development Agency (VORDA).

The donation formed parts of the ABL's support to the social and economic progress of the Volta Region. The company also presented 30 cases of assorted drinks to the Asogli Traditional Council.

The presentation took place at the private residence of the Agbogbomefia of Asogli Togbe Afede XIV in Accra when a delegation from ABL led by its Corporate and Legal Affairs Director, Adjoba Kyiamah paid a courtesy call on the renowned traditional ruler and businessman.

VORDA's primary objective is to provide an enabling environment for the acceleration of growth, wealth creation and the enhancement of the living standards of the people of the Volta Region though the provision of basic essentials such as education, water, sanitation, health and economic infrastructure.

ABL as part of its commitment to ensure the growth of the Ghanaian agricultural sector has been sourcing some of its raw materials from the Volta Region.

 
'We deem it fit to support the region that is home to some of our raw materials. Although our relationship with the farmers in parts of the Volta Region is purely business, we believe in giving back to society and this donation is proof of that', according to Legal and Corporate Affairs Director of ABL, Adjoba Kyiamah.

On his part Togbe Afede XIV commended ABL for the gesture and noted that it will go a long way to further the aims and objectives of the Volta Region Development Agency, one of which is to promote local investment, explore and support economically viable ventures within the region.
