The defeated NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Adenta Constituency, Frances Asiam has described the alleged massive electoral fraud that characterized the just ended December polls as treasonable and criminal.

“This gargantuan fraud on democracy and stabbing the people of

Ghana in the back is criminal and treasonable,” she said.

Speaking at the party's Press Conference in Accra, she backed the NPP'S decision to challenge the just ended 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections in court.

The NPP on Friday filed a petition at the Supreme Court against the official results of the elections.

“The Electoral Commission has performed a clearly sophisticated, gargantuan perpetuation of fraud on the people of Ghana. I am glad it's gone to court. Democracy is being tested and the battle is the Lord's,” she said.

Madam Asiam further stated, “By the supreme will of the people, I know, Insha Allah, that by the grace of God, the truth will come out”.

Frances Asiam also mentioned that the perennial situation which witnesses the influx foreign Nationals taking part in the electoral process must cease.

“People were brought into this country and it has become perennial. People come and vote here and change the actual will of Ghanaians. These things must stop”.

“The evidence is there in the hundreds of thousands of people who were put in homes and fed day and night. In Adenta for instance, we are uncovering evidence. Some people from Togo are looking for lorry fare to go home,” she added.
