Sekondi, Oct 31, GNA- Miss Lucy Blay became the Western Regional President of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) in an election conducted by the association at Sekondi on Thursday.
She polled 17 votes to defeat the incumbent Mr Arvo Mensah who had three votes.
Mr Samuel Dzigba was elected Vice President with 13 votes to defeat his challenger
Mr. Kofi Diaba, Mr. Constantine Kudzadze and Mr. John Mensah were returned unopposed as the Secretary, Assistant Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
Miss Blay expressed appreciation to members for the confidence reposed in her and pledged to work hard to bring all lawyers in the region together.
