Cape Coast, Oct 31, GNA- The Central Regional Minister, Mr Isaac Edumadze, on Friday commended Mr Alexander Raymond Buabin who won this year's second National Best Teacher award for his hard work and dedication to duty.
Mr Edumadze made the commendation when Mr Buabin, a science tutor at the Mfantsipim School, paid a courtesy call on him at his office and said the award has brought honour to the region.
He gave the assurance that the government would continue to recognise hard working teachers.
Mr Edumadze said he is happy about the performance of teachers in the region in the past few years ''and this is an indication that that the region's past glory is being restored."
He urged other teachers to strive hard to win similar awards. Mr Buabin said it is his dream that teachers would see the potential in every child and help it to develop it.
He said the award is a challenge to him and other teachers to work harder to sustain the pride and honour done the region.
