THE DIRECTOR of Immanuel Restoration School Complex, Rev. Mrs. Cecilia Agyeiwaa Campbell, has expressed worry about the way most parents have pre-occupied themselves with what she described as mad chase for money; the result of which has consumed all their time to the detriment of family life.

Rev. Mrs. Campbell described this situation which has plagued many families in the country as a canker which was setting the family system apart.

She said parents hardly spend time at home with their children or families and as a result many families are now battling with the wayward conduct of their children.

The Director said this at the school's 2012 Christmas celebration held at the forecourt of the school located at Number seven Ayiyiwa Street, Abelenkpe, Accra.

Mrs. Campbell said though parents were finding it difficult to make ends meet, they ought not to neglect their divine roles of child upbringing, adding that children are the greatest gift God has given parents.

Rev. Mrs. Campbell, who spoke on a wide range of issues, was not happy about what she described as the gross disrespect among both the youth and some elderly members of society as well as the high rate of corruption in every fabric of life.

The Woman of God further mentioned that poverty has never been part of creation because God had stocked the world with resources before he created man to rule over them.

The Chairperson for the event, Dr. Rosina Kyeremanten, a senior lecturer at the University Of Ghana, commended management of the school for setting up the school on wholly Christian principles.

Dr. Kyeremanten urged parents to make Jesus Christ the basis of their child training so that when they are of age they will equally keep the legacy of good training and transfer it on to their generation.

The Headmistress of the school, Miss. Yvette Kyeremanten, was happy that Friends of Immanuel Restoration School Complex (FIRSC), which is the school's Parent Teacher Association, has played key roles in the management of the school over the years.
