Ghanaian music legend Kojo Antwi on Thursday congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his December 7 election victory.

Speaking during a courtesy call on the President at the Castle, Mr Antwi, who is popularly known as Mr Music Man, said he and other players in the creative arts industry were looking forward to a greater collaboration with Mr Mahama's administration to develop the sector and contribute to national development.

Kojo Antwi was accompanied to the Castle by Malian singer Salif Keita, with whom he will be performing on Monday December 24.

Mr Antwi's December 24 concerts have been marked events on the Ghanaian Christmas calendar and usually draw a large crowd every year.

President Mahama, who has been a patron of the concerts in previous years, said the performance of the duo would make the night a wonderful one.

He noted that he had always been an admirer of both Kojo Antwi and Salif Keita.

Salif Keita praised Mr Mahama for his humility, noting that he did not believe that they could get an audience with a President on such short notice.
