
At the end of September, an international scientific forum was organized in response to the selection of the city of Liège as a candidate for the international exhibition in 2017. Liège Expo for this reason invited experts to discuss the theme of the exhibition. At the same occasion was the "World Youth Forum,” where some 80 young people between 18 and 30 years from all over the world were selected to discuss the theme of the exhibition, of which Emily Sarpong, who was born and bred in Ghana, but now lives in Belgium, represented her home land Ghana.
The theme of the Expo 2017 is "Connecting the world, linking people, better living together.” An appropriate theme, where the youth had much to discuss about. During the three days of Forum, the program was well filled with debates on the topics of the exhibition, intercultural encounters, workshops and company visits. There were immediately ties between the young participants. There were 80 young people invited from all over the world, together accounting for 63 nationalities,
