The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated, emphatically, that he will not accept the verdict of the Electoral Commission in the 2012 general elections, which saw his closest contender John Maham being declared the president-elect.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at the Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Tuesday, Nana Akufo-Addo said the decision not to accept the EC's declaration was taken by the National Executive Council of the party at an emergency meeting held earlier today.
He said the party has directed its lawyers to head to the Supreme Court to contest the outcome of the elections.
