25.09.2012 LISTEN

Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed, Sekyere South National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency chairman and Presiding Member of the Assembly, has commended Mr. David Henric Agyei Yeboah, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the constituency.

He said the NPP MP had brought improvement to the length and breadth of the constituency, and for that matter, played a significant role in the lives of the electorate, especially, in the area of education, health and infrastructure through his MPs Common Fund.

The NDC constituency chairman said this at the Assembly Hall at Agona, the district capital, when the MP invited all the members and made a donation of about 1,000 street bulbs to them.

The MP also donated computers and cheques worth GH¢500 to the Wiamoase Salvation Hospital, and GH¢40,000, GH¢10,000, GH¢2,500, GH¢5,000, GH¢3000, and GH¢5,000, through the GETfund respectively to the Agona Secondary Technical High, Asaaman  Konadu Yiadom Senior High School, Jamasi School for the Deaf, Jamasi Islamic School, Abrakaso Junior High School and Domeabra Junior High School to carry on with some projects.

Mr. Benjamin Kudjo, who represented the District Education Director, also commended the MP for the passion he had for education in the area, noting that since he became the MP, he had helped the schools to ensure effective teaching and learning.

He, however, cautioned beneficiaries of the MP's gesture to take good care of them to serve the purpose for which he provided the items, and appealed to individuals, organisations and corporate bodies in the area to also help, since the internal generated funds of the schools alone cannot provide all the needed infrastructure.
