Koforidua, Sept. 20, GNA - A new political group, Pioneer's Association, affiliated to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has announced that they are joining the campaign of the party towards the 2012 elections.
According to the group, they would ensure that the party wins most of the Presidential and parliamentary seats in the Eastern Region.
This was contained in a statement issued in Koforidua and signed by the Interim Regional Secretary of the group, Barima Yaw Osafo-Kantanka on Thursday.
The statement said the group is made up of former Regional, Constituency and branch Executives, District and Municipal Chief Executives under the Rawlings regime.
It said members would be joining the campaign of the NDC at the regional, constituency and branch levels to canvass for votes in the Eastern Region.
