Airtel Ghana has recently launched a product called Buddie Pack, Ghana's first value voucher recharge card.

Buddie Pack is meant to offer subscribers cheap rates to keep in touch with their call contacts.

Airtel Ghana says it will continue to offer innovative products that are relevant to its subscribers.

Airtel has over the past few months rolled out products such as SmartZone, Facebook Zero, 5X Obolobo and also added new merchants to its mobile commerce platform, Airtel Money.

The Marketing Director of Airtel Ghana, Oare Ojeikere explained that the Buddie Pack offer comes with recharge vouchers of 50p and 20p created specifically for the offer.

He said each of the recharge vouchers would offer the customer with a bundle of voice minutes and SMS.

The 50p coupon offers 15 minutes airtime and 150 SMS with the 20p offering 5 minutes airtime and 50 SMS.

'These special rates have been put out there in response to customer needs,' Mr. Ojeikere added.

'We are the first telcom to introduce this sort of offer in the Ghanaian market and it only goes to give further credence to our determination to be innovative while meeting our customers' expectations,' he added. Airtel Ghana has meanwhile rolled out what it calls the Super Saver product offer.

The Super Saver offers two packs costing GHC7 and GHC2 respectively with subscribers getting Airtel to Airtel voice calls of up to 1000 and 150 minutes respectively.

The Head of Corporate Communications and External Affairs of Airtel Ghana, Donald Gwira noted that Airtel Ghana had positioned itself as 'a telco which listens to the market and draws up products targeted at enriching the lives of her subscribers.'

According to him, Airtel does not only want to keep its current subscribers happy, but win over new ones to sample the wide variety of products designed for the various subscriber base.
