Kwasi Amoah to parliament during the December 7 general election. Dasebre was speaking at Akyem Achiase during the commissioning of Ackom Community Water System. The chief who was the guest of honour for the occasion praised Hon. Amoah otherwise known in the community as Teacher Amoah for what he describes as his continuous and tremendous support to the area and the constituency at large. Dasebre who congratulated Teacher Amoah for exhibiting such philanthropic attitude then asked his subject to 'remember him during the judgment day' he added 'all what I have to say is that on December 7, remember Kwasi'.
The chief before ending his speech assured the people of Achiase that, the he will do everything possible to make sure the portable water which has been provided to the Yaa Naa Waa community of Akyem Achiase extend to other places of the town. He then charged the people of Yaa Naa Waa community to exhibit the culture of maintenance for the sustainability of the project.
The Ackom Community water project which cost close to GH¢50,000.00 was named after Mad. Ackom the mother of the NPP candidate of the area Mr. Amoah and was solely funded by the candidate.
Speaking at the commissioning, the NPP candidate Mr. Amoah said, he taught of providing the portable water to the Yaa Naa Waa community after the community invited him to one of their usual meetings barely ten weeks ago and requested for three things. One was to help them illuminate some part of their community which was dark at night by providing them with some street light bulbs. The second was to help them construct a wooden bridge over a marshy area they cross before getting to their homes and the third and most cost intensive was to help them get a portable drinking water.
He said, he initially taught of helping them with the first two which was less costly but later decided to help them with the water project since that was most important considering the importance of portable water. He added that 'the project is in several phases and designed to provide sustainable portable water to many deprived communities in the Birim South District'.
He added that the portability of the water has been ensure through the Food and Drugs Board (FDB)'s physical and chemical test which has been conducted and proven. Teacher Amoah also debunked allegation that he is doing that to enhance his political aspiration. He said 'trust me this is not the first project I have undertaken to help the communities I live in and will not be the last'
Meanwhile the constituency chairman of the NPP Kofi Ahenkora Marfo has said that the party will campaign vehemently using the project and all other project undertaken by the parliamentary candidate.
All other speakers which include a former District Chief Executive of the Birim South District Hon. Antwi Berko thanked Mr. Amoah for the gesture.
